A collection of jewelled bikinis used for female bodybuilding competitions have been stolen in a raid on an arts studio.
The tailor-made outfits were taken from premises in Belfast City Centre over two weeks ago.
It is understood the batch, which includes ‘posing pouches’ for men, is worth around £5,000.
Sources say that the burglary, at the Queen Street Studios in Belfast, saw the studio owner “cleared out", reports Belfast Live .
It is understood a number of studios on the premises were broken into, but the majority of material were stolen from one of them.
In a post on their Facebook page, South Belfast police said they were appealing for information after the break-in on 28th September.
They wrote: “Among the items taken were high value, custom-made costumes for body building competitions.
"Several thousand pounds worth of these costumes, like those pictured, were taken from the studios.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who has any information or anyone who is aware of similar items for sale from an unusual or suspicious source."
