BOB THIELE & THE FOREST RANGERS "Trying To Believe" release

This summer, Sons of Anarchy musical director Bob Thiele is taking his tunesmithing outside of primetime and into your stereos with his band, the Forest Rangers. Their debut LP, Land Ho!, arrives early next month, but you can sample the set's "Trying to Believe" in a new video that features a few familiar bikers. 

Singing the slow-simmering blues rock jam is the Kills' Alison Mosshart, who also appears in the video alongside Thiele and actors Mark Boone Jr., Niko Nicotera, Dayton Callie and Michael Ornstein. Ramping up the tension is a round of Russian roulette. 

At one point in the track, Mosshart sings about what it's like to "gamble with the night." Considering the video, that could be taken as a particularly dark allusion to the afterlife.
