Everybody loves the 80's, right? I mean except for all those people who got AIDS. Well, this movie is about your love of the 80's and they remind you of one thing that was a problem back then...homeless people.
You see, in the future, people will be living in stacks of trailers in the middle of the city. Mostly because they're poor. But they're NOT.
And the reason these people aren't POOR is because everybody can afford luxury VR video game items. Even though NOBODY in the stack of trailers has a job!
Is the movie pretty to look at?...Yes. If you paid your money to watch a bunch of pretty lights flash on the screen then you'll be satisfied. But, if you want to watch a story, then you're getting a movie that's 30 years out of time.
What you're getting is a story about a boy who has to save the farm by winning a contest so he can get lots of money blah blah blah blah. Which by the way, that's 50% of every 80's Comedy films I've ever watched and I'm sick of seeing them.
We're not going to say we loved this movie just because Spielberg is behind it. That's being a hack! And we're not movie critic hacks.
So...we can't say it stinks.
