Star Wars XXX sales soars!

Star Wars XXXStar Wars: The Force Awakens might hit cinemas today but there's another space epic everyone is talking about.
A porn parody of the famous film called Star Wars XXX is seeing a huge surge in sales.
In fact, sales of the 2012 porn flick have increased by a whopping 500% in the past few weeks.
The saucy film, which parodies the events of the original 1977 blockbuster, is believed to have had one of the biggest ever budgets for a porn movie.

GameLink executive Jeff Dillon told Mashable: "The spike in sales for the parody is representative of a much larger trend of brand-specific merchandise for Star Wars, which shows the strong bond fans have with the movies.
"We began noticing a gradual increase in sales of the title at the beginning of November, but it wasn’t until the past two weeks that purchases of Star Wars XXX really skyrocketed."
The Star Wars XXX movie has to refer to itself as a "parody" as this status grants the film legal protection from Lucasfilm and Disney.
Star Wars creator, writer and director George Lucas has always been against the existence of porn variations on his Academy Award winning franchise.
During the 1980s, his firm filed a slew of cease-and-desist letters to Star Wars fan magazines that published pornographic fiction.
But it was a losing battle – thanks to the right to Free Speech, outlined in the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
Over the years a number of pornographic films about the Galaxy Far, Far Away have appeared, including Sex Wars, Porn Wars and Star Whores.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already thought to have smashed box office records.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the film has passed the $100million mark ahead of today's release.
Daily Star movie critic, Stefan Kyriazis, said:"This is a triumphant reboot of the biggest film franchise of our lifetimes and fully earns its place as the soon-to-be biggest film of all time.
"The Force is, indeed, strong in this film."
